“We are delighted to have won Pegasus Airlines for Hamburg – a new airline that will be offering low-cost flights to Istanbul starting this summer,” says Michael Eggenschwiler, CEO of Hamburg Airport. “Our passengers heading for Turkey have an attractive selection of price categories to choose from. We are therefore confident that this additional service will be well received.”
Commenting on the launch of the Hamburg route as of 1 July, Pegasus Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Guliz Ozturk says “Pegasus Airlines continues expand its network in Germany to which it first flew in 2006. We value Germany greatly as a destination given the huge potential for passengers between the two countries, and as it’s the country we fly to the most. We now connect Hamburg to 23 destinations within Turkey and 21 destinations beyond Turkey; a total of 44 destinations in all.
