JAA Volunteer Recognized for Excellent Customer Service
Recipient was Honored at Second Annual ROSE Award Ceremony
JACKSONVILLE, Feb. 8, 2010 -The Jacksonville Aviation Authority has announced Paul Schaefer, Chairman of the Volunteer Ambassador program at Jacksonville International Airport
(JAX) was honored with this year's Recognition of Service Excellence (ROSE) Award for the Best Customer Service in Support to an Airline.
Schaefer accepted the award at the Second Annual ROSE Awards ceremony which aims to recognize front line hospitality employees who demonstrate excellent customer service.
A total of nineteen awards were given to various hospitality employees from Jacksonville and surrounding areas. Other winners associated with JAX included Best Customer Service-Airline Agent, Ann Holliday, representing Delta Air Lines, Best Customer Service-Car Rental Agent, Barbara Taylor, representing Avis Budget Group and Best Driver Ground & Water Transportation, Dori Walker, representing Terry Transportation and Airport Shuttle.
Schaefer is a founding member of the Volunteer Ambassador program for JAA which includes a team of 45 volunteers who help passengers and travelers navigate through JAX. He has been a part of the program for the past 12 years.
"Paul Schaefer has been a tremendous asset to our Volunteer Ambassador program," said Michael Stewart, JAA Director of External Affairs. "We are proud to have such a dedicated leader in providing quality customer service to our JAX travelers."
