Kraków-Athens with Aegean Airlines launched
Today (21.06.2016), Aegean Airlines and Kraków Airport have just launched a new direct service between Kraków and Athens.

The seasonal route between Kraków and Athens airport will be offered until September 27th, 2 times a week: on Tuesdays and Saturdays on the Airbus A320 aircraft.
After landing, the first aircraft was welcomed with a water salute, thereafter the ribbon-cutting ceremony carried out by representatives of the airport and the carrier: acting President of Kraków Airport Management Board, Radosław Włoszek and representative of Aegean Airlines Detlev Geiser, Aegean Sales Manager.
To celebrate the inaugural flight Kraków Airport had a surprise for passengers. After passing through a gate of balloons in the colours of the carrier specially prepared for the occasion, all passengers departing to Athens were treated to cupcakes with traditional symbols of Greece printed on them.
Aegean Airlines is a member of the biggest airlines alliances in the world - Star Alliance. The carrier provides passengers with a direct link to the Greek capital but also onward connectivity throughout the Greek islands and mainland Greece. Over and above the domestic connections, Krakow-Athens service offers a high number of connecting opportunities to cities in the neighboring countries such as the Balkans and Turkey as well as cities in the Middle East.
