Passenger statistics - January 2016

The first month of 2016 saw Katowice Airport achieve fantastic passenger volume results

In terms of overall passenger volume from the regularly-scheduled and charter services, 173 018 passengers used Katowice Airport. This is 28 000 more (+19.2%) in comparison to the first month of last year.

Both regularly-scheduled, as well as charter services noted growth. In terms of the former, January saw 147 510 passengers use Katowice Airport. This is 27 000 (+22.5%) more than in January 2015.

Charter traffic also showed growth. 23 605 passengers chose to fly on holidays from Katowice Airport in January this year. This is 900 passengers more (+4%)than in the same time period last year.

Forecasts predict Katowice Airport handling around 3.3 million passengers in 2016.
