New airline base in Marseille Provence!
As per Summer 2018, Volotea will set a new base in Marseille Provence airport, its 5th in France.
With 9 new routes next summer, Volotea will offer 19 destinations in total from Marseille Provence, becoming the 2nd biggest airline in terms of destinations.
Present in Marseille since 2014, the spanish airline has been convinced by growing traffic figures year after year, to base 2 aircrafts (B717) in MRS.
This will create 50 jobs on the platform (pilots, crew, operations).
New routes are :
- Biarritz (2 weekly frequencies)
- Corfou* (2 weekly frequencies)
- Caen* (2 weekly frequencies)
- Funchal (1 weekly frequency)
- Héraklion (1 weekly frequency)
- Mykonos* (1 weekly frequencies)
- Santorin* (up to 2 weekly frequencies)
- Menorca* (up to 2 weekly frequencies)
- Palma de Majorque (1 weekly frequency)
Adding to 10 existing destinations :
- Alicante* (up to 3 weekly frequencies)
- Dubrovnik* (up to 2 weekly frequencies)
- Faro (2 weekly frequencies)
- Naples* (2 weekly frequencies)
- Prague* (2 weekly frequencies)
- Rennes (2 weekly frequencies)
- Split* (2 weekly frequencies)
- Strasbourg (up to 4 weekly frequencies)
- Venice (up to 4 weekly frequencies)
- Vienna* (2 weekly frequencies)
* destinations served with no competition
This will represent an increase by 60% on seat offer versus 2017, for a total of 290,000 seats.
