Summer 2018 development recap from MRS
The summer schedule has been recently launched, let's have a look at Marseille Provence new routes and capacity increase.
This summer, 159 direct routes towards 27 countries will connect Marseille, 2nd biggest city in France, to the world.
- Volotea will base 2 aircrafts and open 9 new routes (CFR, BIQ, FNC, PMI, MAH, CFU, HER, JTR, JMK) on top of 10 existing destinations
- Lufthansa will add a 3rd daily flight to FRA and provide even more connecting opportunities via its hub
- Air France / Hop! will open 2 new domestic routes to CFR and ETZ, will extend its operations to ATH from April to October and add 2 destinations during the peak season (BEY and GVA)
- Vueling will launch a new route to ALC (its 6th route from MRS) and increase frequencies to AGP and PMI
- Turkish Airlines will add 4 weekly frequencies to IST from June to September, and offer a double daily flight during this period
- Aigle Azur will open a new route to BEY in June, and increase capacities to DKR and Algeria
- Swiss International Airlines, our newest airline, will fly to ZRH thrice weekly, starting April
- Ryanair will pursue its operations to KRK started last winter and launch a new route to FRA
- Aer Lingus will strongly reinforce its operations to DUB
- Pegasus will increase from 4 to 6 weekly flights to SAW
- Additional frequencies to ATH (Aegean), MAD (Iberia) and TUN (Tunisair)
- Long Haul wise, Air Austral will continue its 2 weekly flights to RUN started last winter and charter flights from SEL operated by Korean Air will be doubled this year
