DOMINIQUE THILLAUD REACTS TO THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF QATAR AIRWAYS’ RETURN TO THE NICE PLATFORM

Dominique Thillaud, Chairman of the Board of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur declared:

“We are delighted to welcome Qatar Airways back to our Nice platform, with five flights a week by a wide-body aircraft (B787-8), starting on 4 July. We hope that the French authorities will authorise daily flights as soon as possible.

Four years after the airline’s enforced departure, its return is just rewards for a heavyweight player, with a worldwide reputation, that actively supports the development of our region. 

The new service will attract even more passengers and goods between the Gulf, Oceania, Africa and Asia and the Côte d’Azur, while extending the international range of our long-haul network to destinations serviced exclusively by Qatar Airways. And tourists will be able to fly to the Côte d’Azur in France from new horizons. Great news for the appeal of our region to start the year!”
