About The Airport
Gold Coast Airport is the gateway to Australia's premier tourist destination and popular northern NSW region, and is the fifth busiest international airport in Australia. Uniquely located on the Queensland and New South Wales state border, Gold Coast Airport is the second largest airport for both states.
Cementing its status as a world-leader in efficient airport operations and facilities, Gold Coast Airport welcomed in excess of 6.5 million passengers per year pre-COVID.
Gold Coast Airport has invested $500 million into the airport precinct, including the Southern Terminal Expansion, which opened in December 2022. The terminal expansion includes a three-level terminal with aerobridges, twice the floor area of the current airport terminal and enables an efficient operation with full swing (domestical/international) capability. Gold Coast Airport has a MARS configured apron with 19 x Code C or 9 x Code E contact stands.
In October 2010, the Rydges Gold Coast Airport hotel opened adjacent to the Gold Coast Airport terminal. The hotel has 192 beach themed rooms, conference facilities for up to 200 people, swimming pool and a 5 minute walk to the beach.
Gold Coast Airport works closely with airline partners to develop attractive incentive packages for new capacity, including Government marketing funds where possible.
