Sterling Airlines filed for bankruptcy and ceases its operation
Icelandic-owned Sterling Airlines has cancelled all flights.
The airline is owned by Iceland's Northern Travel Holdings and employs around 1,100 staff. It flew to 40 destinations, mainly from its hubs in Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm.
Sterling's following routes at OSL will be cancelled:
Alicante, Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Biarritz (Summer), Billund, Chambéry (Winter), Chania, Copenhagen, Faro, Florence, Las Palmas, London Gatwick, Málaga, Nice, Palma Majorca, Rome Fiumicino, Salzburg (Winter) and Tenerife.
