Oslo Airport – the family friendly gateway
At Oslo Airport we love our youngest passengers. We have committed ourselves to improve the facilities for our youngest customers and their parents. Through social media we have received many suggestions from our passengers and our employees, and as a result we have developed our own family friendly strategy.
It started with the introduction of our hosts Felix and Fiona. These two cartoon characters are our main communicators towards the families. We have introduced familiy friendly menus in our restaurants, as well as our own family security lane to make the security process easier for our youngest travelers (as well as for their parents). Alongside this we have introduced baby care rooms and a separate nursing nook to offer a quiet and sheltered area designated for breastfeeding.
This year we are continuing our development and now we are introducing strollers. These are suitable for children aged 0-3 years, and have storage space for smaller items and will make it easier to navigate shops and restaurants with small children before boarding the aircraft.
We want Oslo Airport to be a place where families feel welcome and we are constantly working to develop facilities and services for this target group. We hope to introduce more amenities for children and families with small children in the run up to the opening of the "new Oslo Airport" in 2017, making travel with children even easier
