"We welcome Ryanair to Oslo Airport, and view this as confirmation that another major international airline has recognised the value of flying Norwegians to attractive destinations in Europe. This is yet another contribution towards strengthening a route network that is already very good," says Oslo Airport's Managing Director, Øyvind Hasaas.
Equal footing
When Ryanair launches its new routes from Oslo Airport it will be on an equal footing with other airlines that fly to or from Norway's main airport.
"Ryanair will pay the same fees and have the same terms and conditions that are offered to other airlines that fly to and from Oslo Airport," says Hasaas.
Three daily flights to Stansted
Ryanair will fly to Vilnius daily, while the route between Oslo and London Stansted will operate three times a day.
SAS, Norwegian and British Airways already offer flights to London from Oslo Airport, but to different airports. Norwegian flies directly to London Gatwick. SAS and British Airways fly to Heathrow. Ryanair will take passengers directly to London Stansted.
Ryanair will use the Boeing 737-800 on these routes, the same aircraft used on all of the company's flights. The company has a fleet of 300 aircraft. They transported more than 103,000,000 passengers to 194 destinations in 2015.
