Tolmachevo сargo traffic has increased by 45% in July
According to the results of the first half of 2012 Novosibirsk airport (Tolmachevo) handled 1 793 996 passengers that is a 22,7% higher than in 2011. Number of passengers on domestic flights totaled 1 124 285 people (+19,8%), and 669 711 people on international flights (+28%).
In January-July the airport has provided the operating of 10 314 sorties (+8,1%).
The most popular foreign directions are Bangkok, Phuket (Thailand), Beijing, Urumqi (China), Antalya (Turkey) and Dubai (UAE). The most popular Russian destinations are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok and Yakutsk.
In July 2012 passenger traffic at the airport has increased by 16,6% over the same period last year and reached 362 954 people. 227 897 passengers were served on domestic flights (+13,5%) and 135 057 on international (+22,2%).
In July the number of sorties totaled 1 758, that is 3,8% higher than in 2011.
15 614 tons (+39%) of cargo and mail were handled at the airport for the first seven months 2012 and 2 505 tons (+45%) in July. Cargo flight program at the airport Tolmachevo is performing by such airlines as Aeroflot, AirBridgeCargo, Volga-Dnepr, Air Cargo Germany, Cargolux, and others.
The Novosibirsk Airport (Tolmachevo)is the largest air transport hub East of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity on domestic flights is 1 800 passengers per hour, on international flights - 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways. According to business plan in 2012 The Tolmachevo Airport plans to serve 3 155 thousand passengers that is 14% higher than in 2011 and handle more than 26 000 tons of cargo and mail (+28%).
