Novosibirsk International Airport Tolmachevo acted as a partner of the Third International AirCargoForum 2012.
Forum dedicated to the new possibilities of integrating Russia into the international transport and logistics system due to the entry into the WTO, as well as to implementation of e-Freight standart, brought together representatives of key international sectoral organizations, airports and airlines - the world leaders in air-cargo market.
Tolmachevo Airport is active participant of the cargo industry forums and conferences, and since 2009 it is a member of TIACA. Presentation of Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo) the AirCargoForum looked at as an example of the air cargo business development as a promising approach for regions of Russia.
Novosibirsk International Airport Tolmachevo is one of the first Russian airports who started the implementation of international standards of electronic registration and tracking "e-Freight". Owing to the developed airport structure, competitive price for jet fuel and the application of tariffs discounts to cargo airlines when performing technical landings it os seen a steady growth of cargo traffic at the airport.
Increase in the volume of freight and mail processed at the airport for nine months 2012 in comparison with 2011 totaled 36%.
The Novosibirsk Airport (Tolmachevo) is the largest air hub East of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity on domestic flights is 1 800 passengers per hour, on international flights - 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways. According to business plan in 2012 The Tolmachevo Airport plans to serve 3 155 thousand passengers that is 14% higher than in 2011 and handle more than 26,000 tons of cargo and mail that is 28% more than in 2011. The airport has been nominated for World Routes Awards 2012 in the category "The Best CIS Airport 2012".
