NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport to explore perspectives of a 150-seater hotel construction
NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport created all necessary conditions for construction of a new hotel facility in its territory.
Currently, the issue is being examined by the airport specialists in cooperation with Jones Lang LaSalle company (Hotels & Hospitality subdivision), the global consulting leader in the field of commercial property.
The experts conducted analysis of the NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport development programme taking into account growing demand for air travel as well as considering other factors affecting the attractiveness of the airport hotel resort. The expert group provided conclusions concerning demand for high-quality accommodation services and viability of the project. Engineering works are expected to take approximately two years, the same time period is required to provide its scheduled load (70% of hotel room capacity).
Jones Lang LaSalle’s analytics presented conceptual guidelines and optimal model for the new hotel management, brand alternatives and estimates of operating results. It is expected that management of the 3- or 4-star 150-seater hotel of business format will be performed by one of the world recognized hotel operators, thus, ensuring high standard of servicing already tested on various markets and enabling use of the operator’s reservation system.
NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is the largest air hub east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The domestic airline capacity makes up 1,800 passengers per hour, on international flights – 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways. In 2013 it expects to serve over 3.7 million passengers. The airport has been nominated for World Routes Awards in the category “The Best Airport of CIS 2012”.
