Václav Havel Airport Prague will offer direct connections to 121 destinations as part of winter’s flight schedule

As of Sunday, 27 October 2019, the winter flight schedule becomes effective. It will provide direct flights from Václav Havel Airport Prague to 121 destinations in 46 countries, to six more destinations than over the same period last year. New destinations that have been added this winter include Lviv, Kharkiv, Chisinau, Florence, Beirut, Nur-Sultan and Keflavik. Prague’s winter flight schedule will feature a total of 15 new destinations. In terms of destinations, the largest number of fights will head to London, from countries to the UK.

During the winter season, 60 airlines, of which 13 are low-cost carriers, will operate regular direct flights from Prague. This means that Prague Airport has continued to maintain a very good balance between traditional and low-cost airlines.

Destinations that will be new in the upcoming winter flight schedule will include Lviv, Kharkiv, Chisinau, Casablanca, Perm, Florence, Nur-Sultan, Stockholm – Skavsta, Bournemouth, Billund, Beirut, Keflavik, Malta, Odessa and Venice – Treviso. Four airlines will operate winter service from Prague for the first time: SCAT Airlines, SkyUp Airlines, Air Malta and Arkia Airlines.

“The increasing number of destinations in the upcoming winter season confirms that Prague is an attractive destination both for airlines and for tourists. Czech passengers will also benefit from this interest, as new options for travels abroad will open up. In addition to new destinations in Eastern Europe, passengers can also take advantage of service to places with traditionally only summer seasonal flights from Prague, such as Iceland and Malta,” says Vaclav Rehor, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Prague Airport. 

The busiest country with the highest number of destinations in winter season is the UK, where 17 different destinations are offered, including direct flights to all six international London airports. The second busiest country will be Italy (11 destinations), followed by Russia (10 destinations), Spain (9 destinations) and France (8 destinations).

The highest number of flights will be between Prague and London (an average of 93 flights per week), Moscow (up to 70 flights per week) and Amsterdam (51 flights per week), following by Warsaw and Paris with 49 weekly flights.
