First direct flght from Riga International Airport to Beirut
To celebrate the first direct flight on the route Riga - Beirut on 2 June 2010, a special cake was made for the passengers of this flight. The cake for the Beirut flight is decorated with an image of the green cedar displayed on the flag of Lebanon as the country's national emblem. The green cedar is the sign of immortality and placidity. It symbolises happiness and prosperity for Lebanon.
