First direct flght from Riga International Airport to Visby
In honour of the first direct flight on the route Riga - Visby on 4 June 2010 a marzipan rose was presented for the passengers of this first flight. The rose is the symbol of this town belonging to the Hanseatic League and included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

airBaltic will operate direct flights to Visby on the island of Gotland three times a week: on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays. The airline will perform flights on a Fokker 50 aircraft and the flight duration will be one hour and five minutes.
