BER to Jeddah with flynas

New long-haul route for BER: Saudi low-cost airline flynas announced a new non-stop connection from BER to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia at ITB 2024. The route to the Arabian port city on the Red Sea will be served three times a week starting on 4 September 2024. The connection to Jeddah enables passengers to reach the Kingdom on the Arabian Peninsula directly from BER for the first time. Flights can be booked now. An Airbus A320neo is used on the route.

This increases connectivity and boosts BER as an airport location. At the same time, it is good for the capital region because the connection is interesting for business travellers and tourists from Saudi Arabia. We are looking forward to the first flight in September.”

flynas will be flying to Jeddah every Monday, Wednesday and Sunday. The outbound flight departs from BER at 9.05 am, landing in Jeddah at 5.10 pm The return flight leaves Saudi Arabia at 4 am, arriving in BER at 8.15 am. The flight time is a good six hours.

Jeddah

Jeddah is located on the Red Sea and is the gateway to the Islamic pilgrimage sites of Mecca and Medina, which can be reached quickly and easily with an express train connection from Jeddah Airport. Saudi Arabia’s second largest city is characterised by a fascinating mixture of progress and tradition. The coastal metropolis is regarded as the cultural pearl of the Middle East thanks to its impressive mosques, traditional souks and a lively art and music scene. The “Al Balad” old town with its pretty merchants’ houses is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The harbour district of Jeddah, a green promenade with lots of restaurants, water sports and recreational facilities, is located directly on the Red Sea. The newly built Jeddah Street Circuit has been the venue for Saudi Arabian Grand Prix races as part of the Formula 1 World Championship since 2021.
