The average growth of Tallinn Airport has been 38%
192 868 passengers passed through Tallinn Airport in August, 40% more than in August last year. The average growth since the beginning of the year has been 38%, which makes Tallinn one of the fastest growing airports in Europe in terms of passengers.
The highest frequency of scheduled flights – seven daily connections in both directions – was between Tallinn and Riga, resulting in more than 20 thousand passengers in August. Remarkable growth was experienced on Tallinn-Moscow route triggered by the successful start of operations of Russian carrier Utair. The biggest passenger market was Great Britain with scheduled routes to six airports, followed by Germany with five different destinations.
Estonian Air served 32% of Tallinn Airport passengers, Ryanair 22% and Air Baltic 12%.
