Porter announces new Canadian routes to Tampa
The carrier is doubling its TPA-YYZ service while also adding Ottawa and Halifax routes to TPA for the winter
After arriving at Tampa International Airport last year, Porter Airlines has announced a significant expansion of its nonstop service to and from Canada for this coming winter season, with more flights to Toronto and the addition of routes to Ottawa and Halifax.
The airline first flew a seasonal route between Tampa Bay and Toronto Pearson International Airport in 2023, but will offer flights twice per day this winter. A single daily flight will kick off the shoulder season on Oct. 27, with a second daily flight beginning Dec. 13.
Porter is also adding a route to Canada’s capital of Ottawa, which will fly up to four times per week beginning on Nov. 22. Then starting Dec. 5, travelers may choose among three weekly flights between Tampa Bay and Halifax.
The airline will fly each route aboard its growing fleet of new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, which offer 132 economy seats in a two-by-two configuration, meaning no middle seats.
Porter’s goal is to offer superior hospitality and elevated onboard service for its travelers. Flights include free wifi and free beer and wine, along with premium snacks and food options.
