Vienna Airport: nonstop with Condor to Punta Cana in the Caribbean
Since 2 November 2011 the German airline Condor connects Vienna directly with Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
The introduction of this new route was celebrated at a symbolic ribbon cutting ceremony in Vienna that was attended by Achim Lameyer, Senior Vice President Sales at Condor Flugdienst GmbH, Ramon Quinones, ambassador of the Dominican Republic to Austria, Petra Cruz-Deyerling, European director of the Dominican Republic national tourism office and Julian Jäger, member of the Management Board (COO) of Flughafen Wien AG.
Every Wednesday from Vienna to the Dominican Republic
A Condor Boeing 767 departs from Vienna every Wednesday at noon and arrives in Punta Cana at 6.30 pm. The Condor flight plan includes only two long-haul departure airports: Frankfurt and Vienna.
Popular holiday destination in the Caribbean
With pleasantly warm temperatures throughout the year and a tropical climate, Punta Cana is an attractive holiday destination – especially during the winter season. Beautiful sandy beaches and a turquoise sea create a wonderful Caribbean flair and an optimal setting for relaxation and recovery. The many coral reefs in the surrounding area provide vacationers with an interesting incentive to explore the underwater world.
Condor Flugdienst GmbH was founded in 1956 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Thomas Cook, one of the world’s leading travel organisers. Each year nearly six million passengers fly with Condor to over 70 destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa und America. This vacation carrier’s fleet includes 35 modern, environmentally friendly aircraft: 12 Airbus A320s, 13 Boeing 757-300s and 10 Boeing 767-300s.
