WIZZ AIR CELEBRATES ITS AUSTRIAN BASE AT VIENNA
Today, Thursday June 14, 2018, Wizz Air opened its Austrian base at Vienna Airport with one of its new Airbus A320 aircraft. The new allocated aircraft will support the start of operations of five new services from Vienna to the popular destinations: Valencia, Rome Fiumicino, Malta, Bari and Tel Aviv.

The new base and the wide network with up to 30 bookable destinations from Vienna by 2019 strengthen the role of Vienna as a flight hub and generate value creation. Above all, the diverse flight offering to Eastern Europe as well as to Central European and vacation destinations provide attractive travel options to business travellers and holidaymakers. Cities such as Eindhoven, Danzig, Tuzla, Cluj, Valencia, Kutaissi, Ohrid, Niz, Billund, Bergen, Kharkiv and Malmö are completely new destinations that can be reached from Vienna thanks to Wizz Air”, says Julian Jäger, Joint CEO and COO of Flughafen Wien AG.
