Direct flight from Vienna to Suceava, Romania
From 15 July 2009, Blue Air, the unique Smart Flying company, inaugurates the first flights from the Vienna International Airport with the destination Suceava, Romania. The airline brings a Jetstream 41 into operation.
"With the introduction of these flights we make a very important step in the promotion of the northern Moldavia region (Bucovina) and its development. It is an area full of potential for tourism business and forestry as well as for business of other nature. For example, one of the largest foreign investments in Romania was made in this region by an Austrian company operating in the wood industry. By introducing this new destination, Blue Air company consolidates its position both on the national market and the international one, and offers to the passengers who want to discover the area of Moldova and Suceava the only direct flight from Vienna", said Mr. Adrian Ionascu, General Manager of Blue Air.
The flights will be conducted in round - trip regime and the tickets are already available on the Blue Air website (www.blueair-web.com), at own agencies, by means of Reservations and Customer Service or at the partner travel agencies.
The price of a ticket goes from 60 euro * / segment, including taxes.

About Blue Air:
Blue Air, the unique smart flying company in Romania, has 100% Romania owned capital. The company is authorized to conduct regular internal and international passenger flights, charter flights on request and cargo transport. Company fleet currently consists of eight Boeing 737 aircrafts: three aircrafts of the series 737 - 300, two aircrafts of the series 737 - 400and three 737 - 800 Next Generation aircrafts (with a capacity of 189 seats). The company signed in 2008 contracts to purchase another five airplanes of the Boeing 737 Next Generation (two of the 800-series and three of the 900 series), which will serve Blue Air flights.
During 2008, more than 1,110,000 passengers flew with Blue Air. Compared to the same period of the last year, when more than 900,000 passengers chose to fly with the Romanian air carrier, Blue Air records an increase of over 23%. For this year, Blue Air anticipates a total of 1,700,000 passengers. In terms of economic indicators, Blue Air has recorded a turnover of 124,130,000 euros in 2008 and 170 million estimated for 2009. Blue Air crews consist of experienced pilots (most of them with more than 15,000 hours of flight).
2008 was a very prolific year for Blue Air, the company was awarded a number of very important contracts. The concession contract, signed for a period of 34 years, of the airport in Bacau, under which the company will invest a total of 45 million euros in infrastructure development, development of run-way/landing, platforms extending in order to provide parking spaces and ground operation of aircrafts, a new terminal and providing the operating system for luggage at the departure and arrivals. Add the contract awarded for construction of a new terminal at Baneasa airport in Bucharest, with an investment of approximately 10 million. Likewise, last year Blue Air has signed a contract through which it was designated as the official carrier of the Romanian Post for the next three years.
