Austrian Airlines Expands Long-Haul Capacity

• Austrian Airlines increases capacity to India
• Launch of non-stop flights from Mumbai to Vienna
• More flights per week to New Delhi in addition
• Two flights to the Maldives in high season

Austrian Airlines is expanding the long-haul capacity in its 2010/2011 Winter Schedule. From 31 October 2010 onwards, OS will start its service of scheduled flights to the Indian metropolis of Mumbai. The Indian capital, New Delhi, is one of the country's key economic centres and an important trading hub.

Mumbai flight schedule:

Vienna-Mumbai

OS35 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday 10.40 a.m. - 11.30 p.m.

Mumbai-Vienna

OS36 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday 1.45 a.m. - 5.40 a.m.*

* Currently scheduled flight time; possibly subject to change.

Mumbai is also of interest to tourists: the city is a traffic hub for those visiting the country - the 'Gateway to India' - and a major cultural centre with universities, theatres, museums, galleries and imposing architecture.

More frequencies to New Delhi

Austrian Airlines is also increasing its frequencies to New Delhi. Last winter, OS flew to India's second-largest city five times a week, and the 2010/2011 Winter Schedule will see OS begin providing six flights a week. Flights to New Delhi on Tuesdays will also be offered.

To Paradise with Austrian Airlines: more flights to the Maldives

Austrian Airlines flights once a week non-stop from Vienna to the Maldives using a Boeing 777. Flights to the Maldives are in particularly high demand in the winter months. For this reason, we are increasing our capacity by one frequency in high season, when we will be flying twice a week, on Wednesdays and Fridays, from Vienna to Male.
