+11.3% in passenger traffic during July 2010

The number of passengers handled by Vienna International Airport in July 2010 increased 11.3% over July of the previous year to 2,032,579.
 
Flight movements rose by 0.8%, maximum take-off weight (MTOW) by 10.7% and cargo by 8.5%. Transfers through Vienna were 14.1% higher in July of this year than in July 2009.
 
Passenger traffic to destinations in Eastern Europe and Western Europe increased by 19.1% and 9.1%, respectively, over the comparable prior year period. Traffic to the Middle East was 17.3% higher in July 2010.
 
The number of passengers handled during the period from January to July 2010 was 6.6% higher than in the first six months of 2009.
