Delta Air Lines to fly to JFK from YQB
MORE FLIGHTS TO THE BIG APPLE!
May 27th, 2013– On June 8th, Delta Air Lines will begin a daily service to New York’s JFK airport.
Travellers will now have access to two flights a day to the airport with the most international passengers in the United States. “The addition of JFK to our flight offering is excellent news. Not only will there be more ways to get directly to New York, but our passengers will also benefit from another major hub for world travel. This new flight will also open our region to international tourists and business people,” said Mr. Gaëtan Gagné, President and CEO of Aéroport de Québec inc. Delta Air Lines is a member of SkyTeam with access to 187 countries around the world. With the four existing daily flights to Newark, six daily flights to the Big Apple are now available from Québec City.
Delta Air Lines also announced the return of its flights to Detroit from Québec City. A daily flight will be available between June 9th and September 3rd. Embraer 145 aircraft with 50 seats will be used for the flights to JFK and Detroit.
Since November 1, 2000, the Aéroport de Québec inc. has been responsible for the management, operation, maintenance and development of the Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport. Approximately a dozen carriers offer multiple connections to various destinations in North America, Central America, the Caribbean, Mexico and Europe, over 50 direct flights a day to major cities in Eastern Canada and the United States, such as Montréal, Toronto, New York, Chicago, Detroit and Philadelphia and, in winter, over 45 chartered flights a week to sun destinations as well as Paris and Marseille in the summer.
