March Break at Toronto Pearson

The GTAA is expecting 101,000 passengers on March 10 and 105,000 passengers on March 11 to pass through Toronto Pearson.

It's that time of year again – spring is around the corner and March Break is just
about here. That means that one of the busiest travel times of the year at Toronto Pearson is
about to begin.

This year, the GTAA is expecting 101,000 passengers on March 10 and 105,000 passengers on
March 11 to pass through Toronto Pearson. These will be the two busiest days of the March
Break travel season. A typical day at Toronto Pearson sees about 87,000 passengers travelling
through the airport.

"This year, we have some special things happening at the airport during March Break," said
Lloyd McCoomb, President and CEO of the GTAA. "We want our guests to enjoy spending
time at Toronto Pearson and we hope the music and other activities we have planned will make
their time at our airport entertaining and enjoyable.

"Toronto Pearson has partnered with the Juno Awards to bring live entertainment to the airport.
Several different activities will be taking place over the course of March Break in which guests
will be invited to participate.

Performances by past Juno Award nominees will be happening in Terminal 1 on the afternoon
of Friday, March 11. Previously nominated in the Best Children’s Album category, the Bees
Knees and Chris McKhool will be entertaining families as they await their flights near Gate 165.
Handheld musical instruments will be available for children that want to get into the spirit and
play along with the music.

The Great Canadian Music Challenge Trivia Game will be in place in Terminal 3 between
March 10 and 28. Guests are encouraged to come by and test their music trivia knowledge and
compete against each other by seeing who can answer the questions in the shortest time. The
game will be available between 1pm and 6pm near Gate C37 for guests who have cleared
security and have some time to fill before their flight departs.

A new art exhibit called Did Juno? will be installed in Terminal 1 this week showcasing
photographs of great Juno moments, interesting Juno facts and some special objects including
original paintings that became album covers and a Juno trophy. The exhibit will be in place in
Terminal 1 until early August.

A compilation of Juno Award winning music will also be playing over the PA system in
Terminal 1 between March 14 and 28 for guests to enjoy.

The GTAA is the operator of Toronto Pearson International Airport, the busiest airport in
Canada and one of the largest airports in North America in terms of passenger and air cargo
traffic. In 2010, Toronto Pearson handled an estimated 31.9 million passengers. The focus of the
GTAA continues to be on competitiveness, growing the airport's status as an international
gateway, meeting the needs of our travellers and ensuring the long-term success of the
organization, our airline customers and the regional economy.

Free Wi-Fi sponsored by Rogers is available at Toronto Pearson.
