Flyaway Power Station Seating at Toronto Pearson

A section of Terminal 1 at Toronto Pearson is now home to a new, innovative seating experience that will meet these needs.

These days most passengers travelling through an airport are carrying a laptop, an Ipod or some other electronics with them. Once they arrive and are waiting for their flight, their needs are quite simple – they want a comfortable place to sit and a source of power for their electronics to stay charged. A section of Terminal 1 at Toronto Pearson is now home to a new, innovative seating experience that will meet these needs. These clusters of seats are like mini workstations and can accommodate power cords and USB cables for the passenger's convenience. Each unit allows for three people to relax on comfortable seating while enjoying surfing the internet on the airport's free WiFi or listening to music on their Ipod while their electronics are charging before their flight. "We're pleased to be able to offer this innovative seating option to our guests," said Christopher Sawicki, Director of Engineering and Development for the GTAA. "Travellers are looking for these types of conveniences and it's great to be able to give them what they are looking for." The Flyaway seating is located the lounges between Gate 244 and 272 in Terminal 1.
