To mark this milestone event, Keith Dias, Manager of Passenger Services with Air Canada presented Mr. MacAskill with two round-trip passes for Air Canada flights anywhere in North America.

"Welcoming our one millionth passenger so early in the year shows how busy Toronto Pearson is," said Toby Lennox, Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Communications for the GTAA. "We are very pleased to be able to celebrate this milestone event with Mr. MacAskill and we look forward to continuing to serve and delight our passengers throughout the rest of this year."
