Announcing the new route in Manchester today, Bridget Dowling, Ryanair's Sales & Marketing Manager for the UK, said: "We're delighted to be here today to announce our ninth route from Manchester Airport. This new service, which commences on October 27, will operate on a daily basis, bringing an additional 100,000 passengers per annum through the airport.
"Ryanair is committed to delivering the lowest fares guaranteed, and this new route to Dusseldorf means that passengers will have an additional link to Germany from the North of England.
"We're confident that the new route to Dusseldorf will prove just as successful as our existing routes from Manchester to Bremen, Frankfurt Hahn, Marseille, Girona (Barcelona), Brussels (Charleroi), Dublin, Milan (Bergamo) and Shannon.
