MIA increased its passenger movements by 6.5%, handling 3,506,521 passengers throughout 2011 and 28,018 aircraft movements, experiencing a drop of 3.2% (917) compared to 2010. The seat capacity fell by -0.91% equivalent to 42,534 seats, whilst the seat load factor reached 76 %, a 5 percentage points increase to 2010, which results in a record year.
