Bmibaby launches flights from Malta International Airport - 5/30/2010
On Saturday 29th May bmibaby launched its summer route from Malta International Airport to East Midlands Airport in the UK.
The service to the East Midlands Airport will operate twice a week with an afternoon flight on Tuesdays and an evening flight on Saturdays.
The airline expects to carry approximately 13,300 passengers during the summer months and is currently the only low cost carrier to operate flights from Malta to East Midlands Airport.
Flight WW5747 landed at MIA at 1852hrs (local time). Upon arrival, passengers were greeted by folklore music and presented with flowers by representatives of MIA and MTA. A symbolic decorative cake was also prepared to mark the occasion.
