Experienced Route Development Profile at Aalborg Airport

Aalborg Airport puts further focus on route development and consequently strengthens the marketing and route development team, where the experienced route developer Annika Liljenberg as of the 1st of June takes up the position as Director of Route Development.

Passionate about Airline Relations and Cooperation

In addition to Copenhagen Airports, Annika Liljenberg has worked at Star Tour, Apollo Rejser and five years at Sterling Airlines. She has therefore created a large network within the industry, where especially the cooperation and partnership with the airlines is something, she is passionate about and will use in the further development of Aalborg Airport's route network.

- I am very much looking forward to being part of the team at Aalborg Airport and to focus on attracting new and exciting destinations, for the benefit of the region, the airport, airlines and travel companies as well as business and leisure travelers, says Annika Liljenberg.

Two decades in the Aviation and Travel industry

Annika Liljenberg has a Cand. Merc. degree in Marketing Management and has spent 20 years in the aviation and travel industry, with 17 years in positions within route development – most recently at Copenhagen Airports as Senior Route Development Manager, where she has worked with everything from low-cost and airline relations to network and long-distance routes.
