Billund Airport is West Denmark's international airport - and the second largest airport in Denmark. The airport is the primary gateway to and from the West Danish region.

In 2024, we handled nearly 4 million passengers, which was  7% more  than our previous record year in 2019.

99.5% of all passengers travelling through BLL are travelling internationally. When our new domestic route to CPH opens in March 2025, our domestic share will increase slightly. In 2024, 32% of traffic was business-related passengers, 19% VFR and 49% leisure passengers. Overall, 40% were inbound passengers to West Denmark.

Billund Airport is ideally located to take advantage of a catchment of 3.2 million people living in West Denmark, where the 90 minute catchment is 2.6 million inhabitants. The airport’s core catchment is twice the size of any other competing West Danish airport.

The city of Billund also host Northern Europes largest resort destination incl. the original LEGOLAND park and the world's only LEGO House: Home of the Brick. The city of Billund have more than 10.000 beds and the destination have more than 1 million international bed night annually.
