Jaguar Land Rover New Training Academy in Slovakia

A new 7,5 million euro investment of Jaguar Land Rover Automotive will serve as a training centre for employees and shall help evade problems with finding qualified staff for the plant. The 3-thousand-sqm learning academy will get the plant ready for the launch of production. The JLR plant is situated in the city of Nitra, about 90km to the north-east from Bratislava.

Commitments to develop a successful plant of JLR in Slovakia are further underpinned by the latest news, according to which the company shall completely shift the production of its Discovery model to Slovakia from its current plant in the vicinity of Birmingham. The plant in Birmingham will be modernized to produce electromobiles of the new generation, whereby the shift of Discovery production to Slovakia shall take place in early 2019.
