Regular flight connection Bratislava-Kaunas now available
Today, a new air service was added at M. R. Štefánik Airport connecting Bratislava with Kaunas, the second largest city in Lithuania. Slovaks have a unique opportunity to get to know a lovely Baltic region. At the same time, through the cooperation with the Bratislava Tourist Board (BTB), the attractions of our capital city will be promoted in Lithuania. This gives Bratislava an opportunity to reach out to new visitors from abroad.
The inauguration of the first flight from Kaunas, Lithuania, to Bratislava took place in the presence of representatives of the Bratislava Tourist Board and the management of M. R. Štefánik Airport who welcomed the first passengers from Kaunas directly at the Bratislava airport. Upon arrival, the passengers could taste the traditional Bratislava rolls, get inspired by promotional materials and learn about events in the capital of Slovakia. Before the summer season, BTB is planning to conduct several promotional activities to attract visitors from Lithuania.
The direct service from Bratislava to Kaunas, Lithuania, is operated by Ryanair, Europe's biggest airline. The service is operated as many as 3 times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
