This exciting investment from Ryanair in Bratislava for next Summer is the direct result of Bratislava Airport and the Slovak Government, who both worked hard to increase tourism in Slovakia, Ryanair (and other airlines) will be able to deliver improved year-round connectivity at Bratislava Airport, supporting inbound tourism and jobs, whilst also offering local citizens more travel options at Europe’s lowest fares.
To celebrate this record Summer 2025 schedule and investment in Bratislava, Ryanair has launched a three-day seat sale with fares starting from just €35.99, available to book now at ryanair.com.
Speaking from Bratislava, Ryanair’s Chief Commercial Officer, Jason McGuinness said:
“Ryanair, Europe, and Slovakia’s No.1 airline, in cooperation with Minister of Tourism and Sport of the Slovak Republic Dusan Keketi and Minister of Transport of the Slovak Republic Jozef Raz, as well as with Bratislava Airport Management Team, is delighted to unveil this substantial investment in Bratislava, which includes an additional based aircraft (an incremental US$100m investment), 5 new routes, increased frequencies across 8 existing routes, more than 200K extra seats, and 30 direct new jobs. The Slovak Government and Bratislava Airport recognise the importance of delivering cost efficiencies to stimulate investment, capacity growth and access to low fares in what is a very competitive marketplace post-Covid. It is thanks to their efforts that we have been able to announce this exciting investment for Bratislava today.
Slovakia joins the growing list of countries and regions which are introducing effective fees policy such as Hungary, Sweden, and Albania, in addition to the Calabria, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, and Abruzzo regions in Italy. Efficient access costs are the only way to unlock accelerated tourism and traffic growth. We are confident that the Slovak Government and Airport will continue in its mission to improve the competitiveness of Slovakia in order to promote future investments which will deliver more jobs, additional inbound tourism, and wider access to low fares for Slovakia’s citizens.”
Bratislava Airport CEO Dusan Novota said:
"After intensive negotiations with the largest European carrier, Ryanair, we managed to agree on expanding the network of routes from Bratislava. Passengers will now have the option to fly to the main airport in Milan, the beautiful city of Gdansk in Poland, Bari in the Italian region of Apulia, Skiathos in Greece, and we are happy that Slovak holidaymakers will now have a direct air connection to Croatia. Ryanair is our long-term and stable partner, and we are doing our best to bring new connections from Bratislava to Slovak customers. After 10 years since Ryanair opened its base in Bratislava in 2015, we have managed to expand the Ryanair base in Slovakia by a third aircraft, bringing even more connections for locals," said Dusan Novota.
