easyJet adds almost 70,000 extra seats across 19 routes from Edinburgh Airport this summer
There’s good news for passengers planning their summer getaways this year with the addition of almost 70,000 extra seats on 19 easyJet routes to and from Edinburgh Airport.
Between 22 May and 21 July, the airline will offer 68,500 extra seats on routes including Paris Charles De Gaulle, Madrid, Nice, Amsterdam and Naples. This will mean that Scottish passengers now have more direct flights to choose from with prices as low as £26.99 to Hamburg, £34.99 to Berlin, and £28.99 to Nice.
Tickets are available to buy now from easyjet.com.
John Watson, Chief Commercial Officer at Edinburgh Airport, said: "This is great news for our passengers and means we can now offer even more choice in our already extensive easyJet route network.
"It’s getting to the point in the year when people are starting to think about their summer holidays so there is no better time to travel from Edinburgh with easyJet to some of Europe’s most popular destinations.
"We have a great relationship with our colleagues at easyJet and look forward to a busy summer schedule in 2015."
Ali Gayward, easyJet’s Head of Scotland commented: "easyJet is Scotland’s largest airline and since our very first easyJet flight nineteen years ago, it has been a key market for easyJet.
"easyJet now has an unrivalled network of over 50 routes served from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Inverness and we are pleased to further strengthen our network from Edinburgh with the addition of these extra seats on some of the most popular routes.
"For business passengers these extra seats mean that we have more connections to key cities across Europe including Berlin, Copenhagen and Paris Charles de Gaulle. Additionally, easyJet’s unique
Scotland Flex offer means that passengers can fly back early from any London Airport to any Scottish airport."
easyJet launched two new routes from Edinburgh in 2014 to Heraklion and Bodrum and started a new service to Funchal in Madeira in February 2015.
