Lufthansa Announces New Route to Edinburgh for Winter Season
On July 18th, Lufthansa announced the launch of a new route between Munich and Edinburgh Airport.
The Lufthansa service will fly twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays during the winter season, beginning on December 1st. It will operate on an A319, which offers 28 business class seats — the only business class product between Edinburgh and Munich.
The Lufthansa flight will complement the existing Eurowings service that operates five times a week between the two cities. Munich is Lufthansa’s largest hub after Frankfurt, and the airport provides strong connectivity to Central and Eastern Europe, as well as the Balkans.
Passengers on the Lufthansa flight depart Munich at 10:00am and touch down in Edinburgh at 11:20am. The return flight takes off from Edinburgh at approximately 12:00 and arrives in Munich in the mid-afternoon.
