Seville Emerges as a Promising Winter Destination for 2018
With its endless sunshine and rich culture, it’s easy to see why Scottish travellers are choosing Seville as their destination of choice this winter.
As a recent Telegraph article pointed out, winter is almost non-existent in Seville. The warm sunshine stretches late into the evenings, and locals sip wine and nibble on tapas while lounging on outdoor patios well into November. There’s something about the intoxicating scent of oranges, attractive Moorish architecture, and Andalusian charm that makes Seville undeniably appealing.
Seville maintains a balmy temperature of 20C even in November, with temperatures dipping just slightly in the next few months. It’s not uncommon to see residents sporting t-shirts beneath the Metropol Parasol, a modernist wooden canopy that sprawls above the city like an umbrella to defend it from the sun. Keen to visit? All you have to do is pack your shorts and sunglasses.
You can fly to Seville with EasyJet or Ryanair directly from Edinburgh Airport starting at £37. Flights run twice weekly in the summer, and four times weekly in the winter months.
