Sani Şener talks about Turkey in Brussels
The crisis managements during the terrorist attack to Istanbul Atatürk Airport and July 15th coup attempt were indicated to be exemplary at the conference organized by Airports Council International. Şener stated that public institutions, private sector and Turkish successfully came through these crises.
TAV Airports President & CEO Sani Şener made the opening speech at the conference titled "Security and Crisis Management" organized by Airports Council International (ACI) Europe, the global platform of airport operators. Held in Brussels, the capital city of the European Union, the two-day conference gathered senior executives and experts on security, transportation and anti-terrorism issues from all around the continent.
Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Security and Home Affairs Jan Jambon, ACI Europe Director General Olivier Jankovec, Brussels Airport CEO Arnaud Feist, Deputy Administrator of the US Transportation Security Administration Huban Gowadia, Council of the European Union Director of Security Francis Morgan as well as Sani Şener were among the guest speakers of the conference.
Sani Şener, who is also a Board Member of ACI World, explained how they managed the crisis at Istanbul Atatürk Airport after the heinous terrorist attack held on June 28th and how they put the airport back into operation in such a short period of time as eight hours. Şener also remarked the details of events occurred at the airport during July 15th coup attempt.
