Groningen Airport Eelde is growing 13% in the first quarter of 2018

Groningen Airport Eelde achieved passenger growth of 13% in the first quarter of 2018 compared to the same period in 2017. The growth is due to a good occupation on scheduled flights to London, Copenhagen and Gdansk. The passenger increase is strongest on the charter flights to Gran Canaria and Lanzarote. The number of passengers on flights to Lanzarote has even doubled. In total, 37,877 passengers traveled to or from Groningen Airport Eelde in the first quarter.

More capacity from Groningen Airport Eelde
From the second quarter of 2018 the capacity from Groningen Airport Eelde has increased considerably. There will be 3 times a day to London, 2x a day to Copenhagen and daily to Munich. In addition, the destinations Nice and Ibiza have been added to the summer offer and Tenerife to the winter offer.
