Inverness golf courses inundated with enquiries from around the world
Inverness is the gateway to the Home of Golf for International visitors
Castle Stuarts championship golf links course hosted the 2016 Scottish Open. This beautiful course is 5 minutes drive from Inverness Airport. General Manager, Stuart McColm, is quoted as being "inundated with enquiries" from around the world since hosting the event this month (July).
He says the publicity has strengthened the Highlands position as a "gateway" for international visitors travelling to Scotland to experience the Home of Golf. Over the course of the week, some spectacular images of the Moray Firth and the wider Highlands were sent around the world via line TV, social media and newspaper coverage.
In 2016 the Royal Dornoch golf course celebrates its 400th year. Nairn Golf Club hosts the Home Internationals in August and the Womens International Team Challenge in September.
Our fantastic golf experience is another reason to fly into Inverness Airport.
