WIZZ ANNOUNCES NEW KOSICE TO BRISTOL ROUTE

Budapest, 13 August: Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, today announced a new route from Kosice to Bristol. The route will commence on 10 October and will be operated with two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The route is the 8th regular air service from Košice International Airport. With this new service WIZZ is now offering four routes to two countries from its Slovakian base (London Luton, Doncaster Sheffield and Milan Bergamo in addition to Bristol). Tickets on Wizz Air’s new UK route are on sale starting today and can be booked at wizzair.com from EUR 19.99*.

Richard Raši, Mayor of Košice said: “When we were opening the flight connection to London Luton back in September 2013, probably nobody has expected that in less than four years time Wizz Air will fly to four destinations from Košice. Košice Airport, city and whole region of Eastern Slovakia confirmed the potential and now we have already 8 regular flight connections from Košice. I am sure that locals, entrepreneurs, investors and tourists and economy of whole region will benefit from this connection.

Michal Hladký, director of Košice 2013 said: “We are very excited about the great news from Košice Airport. For several years we have been cooperating very closely with the organization Creative England which seat is in Bristol. With new air service this cooperation can be much more intensive.”
