Increase in flight operations at Lodz Airport
17% more flight operations than in December 2019 and 175% more compared to December 2020.
Based on EUROCONTROL data, the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA), has published the number of air operations in the Polish sky in December 2021. On average, in December 2021 there were 1,680 operations daily, (including transit flights).
In the same month in the previous year, there was an average of 958 operations daily.
At all Polish airports were carried out 33,329 take-offs and landings in 2021. This means a decrease of 21% concerning the same month of 2019, however, compared to December 2020, an increase of 150% was noticed.
Among all Polish airports in 2021, only two airports recorded increases compared to the pre-pandemic time. 17% more air operations at the Lodz airport, than in December 2019, and at the airport in Modlin only by 13% more.
Compared to December 2020, Lodz Airport recorded a 175% increase in air operations.
