Lodz Airport: Anna Midera - CEO of Lodz Airport, honored in 100 Most Influential People in Polish Tourism in 2023

Waszaturystyka.pl has announced for the eighth time the list of 100 individuals who realistically exert the greatest influence on tourism in Poland

At the end of each year, Waszaturystyka.pl always announces the list of 100 individuals who significantly influence tourism in Poland. The list includes CEOs of airlines, airports, travel agencies, tourist organizations, and the hotel industry.

From #Łódź, only two individuals made the list: Tomasz Koralewski, President of Łódź Tourism Organization (28th place), and Anna Midera, Ph.D, President of Łódź Airport (64th place). In the justification, among other contributions to the industry, their collaboration in organizing the "Forum Routes Europe 2023 in Łódź" was acknowledged. This event is considered one of the most prestigious in the European aviation business, attracting over 1200 representatives from European airlines and airports to Poland.

Here is the full justification from the jury:

"Anna Midera, President of the Board of Łódź Airport: A Doctor of Economic Sciences, an expert in strategy development, mainly in transportation. She has served as the President of Łódź Airport for seven years. She was responsible for organizing the Forum Routes Europe 2023 in Łódź, one of the most prestigious events in the European aviation business, which brought over 1200 representatives from European airlines and airports to Poland.

Previously, she worked as an assistant at the University of Łódź and headed the Department of Transport Policy and International Affairs at the Ministry of Infrastructure. She participated in European initiatives related to shaping transport policy and coordinating matters prepared for the needs of the European Committee."

We are very proud that only 7 of 15 Polish airport presidents made it to the list. Besides Anna Midera, the list includes the presidents of airports in Warsaw, Krakow, Katowice, Gdańsk, Rzeszów, and Poznań.
