Lodz Airport: Łódź Summer Festival 2024 - Lodz City celebrated its 601 anniversary

It was the biggest event of the year in Łódź and one of the largest music festivals in Poland.

You can already mark your calendars – the Łódź Summer Festival 2025 will take place from July 25 to 27.

Top Polish artists and international stars, record attendance at concerts, fully booked hotels, and crowds of people partying on Piotrkowska Street – the 601st birthday of Łódź turned out to be a great success. This is confirmed by the stars who performed on the festival stages. Everyone was impressed by the scale of the event and shared their impressions on social media.

"Look at this crowd!" shouted the frontman of Placebo during Saturday's concert on the main mBank stage. The performances of artists such as Kizo, Young Leosia, Milky Chance, Zalewski, and White 2115 were witnessed by a full audience – 40,000 people.

Festival-goers showed up in full force at all the stages of the Łódź Summer Festival, and the audience there also impressed the artists. This was the case at Manufaktura and Monopolis, where artists like Lady Pank, Fisz Emade, Nosowska, and Brodka performed.

"I want to thank the residents of Łódź and all the other festival guests for once again creating the unique birthday atmosphere of our city. This is solely their achievement. The best proof of this is the reactions of the stars; I think all of them will recommend performing in front of the Łódź audience. I already invite you to next year's edition – come and celebrate with us," said Tomasz Piotrowski, Deputy Mayor of Łódź.

"I want to thank the entire team that worked for many months to make the Łódź Summer Festival 2024 a success. It is a huge organizational effort, but it is clearly worth it and brings joy to thousands of people. We will do everything to make next year's edition even more successful," added Piotr Kurzawa, Head of the Strategy and Promotion Department at the City Hall.

The 601st birthday was also celebrated on Piotrkowska Street, where children had fun during the day, and adults danced to DJ sets late into the night. Meanwhile, at the Old Market, you could visit a Slavic village, and at Stawy Jana, you could participate in a birthday picnic.

The event was a huge production undertaking – about 250 people handled the main stage and its backstage alone, and more than 400 specialists, including medical staff, were responsible for security. The screens showing the performances consisted of a thousand LED screen elements (all in 4K technology).

Transportation between stages was provided by the city’s public transport, reinforced by a special festival line, number 601. Several night lines, with appropriately altered routes, were available to return from the event.

Łódź hotels were fully booked, and restaurateurs and other service providers also had a successful weekend.

The date for the third edition of the Łódź Summer Festival has already been set. Concerts and many other events will take place from July 25 to 27, 2025.
