Santa landed in Łódź Airport again!

🎅 This year, Santa flew in directly from Alicante, Spain—a city whose patron saint is Saint Nicholas and which has a direct air connection with Łódź. Flights between Łódź and Alicante operate twice a week, and Santa took advantage of this route to reach the children of Łódź.
🎅 The Ryanair plane landed on time. Children waiting on the tarmac eagerly searched for Santa at the airplane door, waving and shouting, “Santa! Santa!” When the excitement reached its peak, he finally appeared! Dressed in a red cape, with a beard and a sack of presents, Santa was greeted at the airplane stairs by Anna Midera, the president of Łódź Airport, as well as elves and a white lion from the Borysew Zoo. He then approached the children, handing out candies.
🎅 “I’ve flown in from faraway Spain, from the beautiful city of Alicante. That’s where I’ve been preparing with my reindeer for the Christmas season. As you know, this is the busiest time for Santa. He has to double and triple his efforts to make it to all the children, because every child is amazing, well-behaved, and deserves a gift. Santa works day and night, flying around the world, but I love my work and love all children. I wish you a beautiful, joyful Christmas season, filled with happiness and sprinkled with white snow,” said Santa.
🎅 While Santa was chatting with the children, ground staff unloaded the plane’s cargo holds, which were packed with presents. Everything had to follow proper procedures: several carts went to the baggage sorting area for customs checks before being placed on the conveyor belt in the arrivals hall. There, Santa personally handed out individually ordered gifts to each child. The packages contained toys, sweets, plush animals, books, puzzles, holiday mugs, educational games, clothing, hygiene products, blankets, and hoodies and t-shirts specially sewn for teenagers in foster care by a wonderful anonymous donor.
🎅 “For the eighth time, we are welcoming Santa to our airport to share moments of joy and emotion. For the eighth time, along with our partners, we’ve prepared countless gifts for the youngest. This year, the charitable campaign ‘Santa’s Landing in Łódź’ included 20 companies, as well as the Marshal’s Office, Łódź City Hall, municipal companies, airport employees, and private individuals. Together, we’ve prepared over 300 gifts. This year, in addition to orphanages and foundations, Santa will visit the Janusz Korczak Pediatric Hospital for the first time, hoping to bring some joy to its young patients,” said Anna Midera, president of Łódź Airport.
🎅 Santa’s convoy departed from the airport terminal and visited the St. Stanisława Leszczyńska Mother and Child Home in Łódź, the Janusz Korczak Pediatric Hospital, the Dom w Łodzi Foundation, the Łódź Hospice for Children, and local orphanages.
