About The Airport
As London's and the United Kingdom's second largest airport, Gatwick Airport's 50 airlines carried 41 million passengers to around 225 destinations in 2023, including 50 long haul markets.
Gatwick is uniquely placed to host all types of airlines from full-service carriers, to low-cost airlines and charter flights. With one in five passengers travelling for business, we offer a range of first-class business services, and our two world-class terminals are home to over 80 internationally recognised shops and restaurant brands.
Located just 30 minutes from Central London, London Gatwick is the United Kingdom's best connected airport by rail, and directly connects to more stations than any other European airport. These links were improved further in 2023 with the £250m expansion of the station infrastrucure.
London Gatwick Airport is focused on rebuilding and growing sustainably in the long term. It has ambitious plans to be a net zero airport by 2030 and increase capacity by bringing its Northern runway into routine use., enabling 75 million passengers to be handled annually by the end of the 2030s.
