ANA marks the first Lisbon–Manaus-Belém

On June, 3 ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal will mark the first Lisbon-Manaus-Belém flight by TAP with the “Portugal Marca” (Portugal Scores) initiative, in a clear reference to the presence of the Portuguese national team at the World Cup in Brazil. This initiative will take place at the boarding gate in Lisbon Airport and will be attended by approximately 20 guests, including official representatives of the Portuguese and Brazilian governments and representatives from the states of Amazonas (Manaus) and Pará (Belém). “Portugal Marca” will mark the first Lisbon-Manaus-Belém flight by TAP, using references to the presence of the Portuguese national team at the World Cup in Brazil. This action is aimed at the first passengers on this route, who will encounter at the boarding gate a cartoonist and a photo shoot panel with cartoons of Portuguese players. They will also be given a Portugal scarf and will take part in the cutting of a cake and a toast before boarding. This will be an opportunity for passengers to take photographs with Portuguese football heroes before they begin their journey to the World Cup in Brazil. The initiative will be attended by various official guests, who will take part in the inauguration of this new route as part of a special delegation. Manaus is one of the cities that will host World Cup matches, including Portugal’s second match, against the USA, and that TAP, from Lisbon Airport, will be the main airline connecting Europe to Brazil. This route is of an importance that goes beyond the World Cup, since Manaus, with approximately two million inhabitants, is the capital of the state of Amazonas, a geographic area with major tourism and business potential. Its multinational and Brazilian-owned industries also attract a significant amount of corporate and business traffic.
